PATHWAYS

Pathways to Independence is a comprehensive program designed specifically for individuals with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities who are eager to enhance their readiness for independent living.

Over the course of seven half-day sessions, participants will focus on developing key skills that are essential for living independently such as identifying personal strengths, daily living skills, safe relationships, managing conflict, and more.

By participating in this program, individuals with intellectual disabilities can not only become eligible for living in a Project Independence home, but they can also strengthen their autonomous living skills. The program is open to anyone desiring this outcome, whether or not they apply to become a PI resident.

Our engaging sessions are designed to be both fun and informative. Physical activity breaks, self-care tips, and shared lunch preparation are all included, ensuring that participants have an enjoyable and productive experience. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion and a My Pathways Booklet that will guide them towards achieving their next steps in their journey towards an independent life.
