Fashion with Purpose: Project Independence at My Charity Runway

Project Independence was proud to attend and participate in My Charity Runway, an event bringing together fashion, philanthropy and charitable causes.
The inaugural event brought together Australian and international designers, including Liz Skorsis and Nicole Miller, alongside charities and supporters for an evening celebrating fashion with purpose.
Every purchase from these talented designers makes a difference, with 15% of proceeds going towards the linked charity.
Partnering with Liz Skorsis
As part of My Charity Runway, Project Independence was partnered with Australian designer Liz Skorsis.
Liz’s collection was showcased on the runway, with 15% of purchases from her collection supporting Project Independence.
It was a unique opportunity to introduce our work within inclusive housing and support homeownership to a new audience through fashion.
Project Independence on the Runway
PI was represented and participated in the event alongside designers, models, charities and supporters from Australia and internationally.
The event brought together a diverse group of charitable causes, including Project Independence, Safe Steps, Blind Citizens Australia, Rizeup Australia, DANII Foundation, Lung Foundation Australia and a few more highlighting the different organizations and communities being supported through My Charity Runway.
The evening provided an opportunity to share our story and highlight the importance of creating greater housing choices and pathways to home ownership for people with intellectual disabilities.
